Floating, holding the entirety of the human race, like a tiny ship in the vast sea of space…
The interview with TGT Webcomics was a lot of fun and went great! If any of you would like to hear the archive, it’s right here. The podcast listen-thing is down at the bottom, beneath the chat log. Enjoy!

Yaaay! I get more excited every time a page goes up!
So exciting! I can’t wait for the next page!
Ground control to Major Reason…
can’t wait to see what’s going to happen in this story!!
Oh! Oh! Shhhhhh! it’s starting!
Oo now that’s a cliff-hanger. I’ve a feeling it’s about to get exciting!
colby, go check it out! i think sarah ellerton’s vote incentive this week on twc is the illusionist’s apprentice! she’s subliminally helping my non-campaign for another chapter of the book!
More Illusionist’s Apprentice Updates!!
The reason for no Illusionist’s Apprentice Updates is because I have those characters in stasis… I don’t want them to develop any further, because I want to use them -as they are- in future comic projects, so they can develop THERE.
OH REALLY? well, i certainly WILL NOT be arguing with that! yesh!
thx phenoca, for helping!
Wait. Are you implying that Henry might randomly pop up here?! Sweet! ; D
no..colby stated from the beginning that pygmalion is a short story. unlike lint, this will be finished within one year or less. something like that. she’s just getting us excited about her next project, though, which -it appears- ties in to the world of lint, though focusing on different characters. very different. couldn’t *imagine* better news!
but anyway, i so called it – sarah’s painting was of jonas, but full-on channeling the illusionist’s apprentice.
look at him, finished: http://artsangel.deviantart.com/art/Psychopomp-158323570
Why can’t Henry be in Pygmalion… After Reason warps into an alternate-universe!! Hmm… But that may not work.
ah phenoca, you clown upside down!
just think – her next serious project..tied in with the illusionist’s apprentice? we *know* it is set in the world of lint…
oooooh… redhead looks aaaaangry….
I think I can work out the rest of the ploy from here… the combination of the Pygmalion story with a reality drive is really rather clever. If I’m right about how the story goes from here then I’m not sure I agree with what Colby’s saying about science, but I agree 100% with what he has to say about love.
Of course, I could be totally wrong, but I don’t think I am. Will be reading the next few updates with great interest.
Apologies for typos, and double apologies for suggesting that Colby is a man!
Well! I’m interested to know what you think is going to happen.
Although at least one major plot point is fairly obvious, I’m pretty sure no one can predict where I’m actually going with this, because it’s random (for sci-fi).
Short story, though – won’t be a long one. And I apologize for not updating, spring has me in its verdant clutches! Update to come soon!
*plot*
well go ahead then, genocidefish. what’s the plot as you see it? one of my pet peeves on the internet are the random posters who say things like ‘called it!’ or ‘i KNEW that was going to happen’ AFTER the fact, though they mysteriously failed to post about it beforehand. and on the other hand, when a recent (fantasy webcomic) storyline *WAS* called out by a large number of readers in advance, the creator immediately realized that part of his storyline was predictable. i admit my own stupidity, i hardly ever guess the most obvious plots, but even i got that one. so i was glad the creator had the chance to see that people really could figure it out in advance. saying you called it after the fact is questionable to everyone.
please do tell?
I think Reason is going to get poked by his pocket-protector… And then… He will end-up somewhere with not enough fuel to get back! And then he will make a CRASH LANDING (like in Miracle of Science where the main characters’ ship gets blown-up)! And then we’ll get to see that the librarian is sad.
Update the Comic so I can find out!
Haha, you nailed it. As far as updating: I’m trying!! I’ve just had a load of work dumped on me these past few weeks and I’m trying to shovel my way out.
i agree that the librarian will have further opportunities to be sad. she’s so beautiful, yet sad and lonely. it’s tragic, like real life. if only the illusionist’s apprentice would show up, or even better, al’bert, to take her mind off her worries, and then the rest of the story could flip between reason out in space, and the naughty library.
As Reason warped through time and space, his multi-dimensional crossing rippled through, past the barriers are own universe, prolonging and lengthening the time until the next page was updated…
I’m shooting for Tuesday!
Goodness, I HOPE he makes it, or this would be the shortest comic ever. 0.o
