The End

Hey Ever’body!

Here’s the thrilling The End Page. Wow, it’s like a 3rd grader drew it or something!

I have a bazillion bukoos of news, here’s to hoping I can remember everything.

FIRST: Here’s that podcast you ordered. Me and Ron talking about everything Lint-related and answering most of your questions. We actually did this on December 23rd, so it’s slightly dated. Some things I left unanswered, because of future Lint possibilities.

SECOND: I got inspired and finished putting Lint into print! I looked into a lot of options, and found that I couldn’t get the same level of quality for any less (at least, not that I found), so I went ahead and finished out the volumes at Lulu. Now available, Lint Vol. 5 and Lint Vol. 6!

THIRD: Lint and my future comic endeavors have just been accepted into the SpiderForest collective~ Buncha great people, over there, I tells ya.

FOURTH: Speaking of future comic endeavors, what about my next work, eh!? Well, it’s titled “Pygmalion in Space” and here it is in embryonic form. Frumph will be creating the site, so you can watch it be built from the ground up (and an fyi; he hasn’t touched it yet. All that nastiness is my own horrible handiwork). In fact, probably everything will change before it actually starts, but now you can watch it evolve until opening day, which, if nothing hitches, should be later this month.

FIFTH: The Comic Creator’s Alliance will start taking donations to stop Human Trafficking on January 11th! This concerns you because… well… human trafficking is bad, and PLUS if you donate you get a nifty wallpaper with art from a ton of webcomic artists, including myself.

SIXTH: Is something I forgot!

Anyway, Thanks for reading, thanks for being around and for all the support. See you soon!

Love,

Colby

Extra Blog Postings:

Some Stuff!

A couple of things, one, incentives are once again a part of what-was-once Frumph and is-now Webcomic Planet, so if you click on the voting button you’ll see a lovely shot of Fang looking like he’s been punched in the stomach. But emotionally! Anyway, you have to click on the image -I THINK- to make it blow up. There’s a spot that says, “Incentive Image” on it. Well, just check it out and if you have problems, bring them up.

Also, there’s a new thing on the right menu, and it’s the Store! I’ve finally figured out how to set up (sort of) my own stuff with Paypal and as you will see, can offer the Fang and Sang bookmarks way more deluxe (tassels and sleeves) for 50% less than Zazzle. Take that, Corporate America! Also there’s a photo of Fromage in real life and you can see that it truly is a beautiful book in print, and I’m not just sayin’ that!

Lastly I’m a little behind on my next page, but hoping to catch up. Working really hard towards Friday night, but it could be Saturday.

News fer Yous

bactinefaceHey guys check out these superfun Artpad paintings/Lint fanarts by Elsa here and here! Man, I love those. Thanks, Elsa!

Speaking of love, I loved making this page! Some of you might not love the outcome, but artwise, this was funner than fun to do. I just want to draw Zedwig 24/7.

In book news, I’m about 35% done with redoing Book One in high res with additional commentary for each page. It’s a big job, but should be well worth it in the end! Also I’m going to be setting up a store for the new books and bookmarks in the next few weeks. Now to figure out how all that works!

Mostly, I’m just having a lot of fun. Thanks for reading, everyone :)

Kyrie

fangexistentialI love this job. Oh, it isn’t a job? Wait, I guess it is. Well, let’s define “job”, shall we?

job

noun, verb, jobbed, job⋅bing, adjective –noun

1. a piece of work, esp. a specific task done as part of the routine of one’s occupation or for an agreed price: She gave him the job of mowing the lawn.
2. a post of employment; full-time or part-time position: She was seeking a job as an editor.
3. anything a person is expected or obliged to do; duty; responsibility: It is your job to be on time.
4. an affair, matter, occurrence, or state of affairs: to make the best of a bad job.
5. the material, project, assignment, etc., being worked upon: The housing project was a long and costly job.
6. the process or requirements, details, etc., of working: It was a tedious job.
7. the execution or performance of a task: She did a good job.

It goes on for a while, but I think that’s enough. Apparently Lint is, in actuality, part of my occupation. As such, I really really like it. I like it like I like standing on top of mountains overlooking vistas. That’s a lot of liking.

Also: Thanks for reading. Plus, fanart by amuletts of Xylic!

Now you can read her comic Epic Fail!

Take care until later, all

News and Incentive

Not much news really, except people who bought bookmarks read the previous post!! Also, incentive: ohhhhh this scene is very tasty. Very tasty indeed! Thank you all for reading; what a pleasure it is to have an audience to share it with.

Vote Incentive Update and News Too

—because I seem to be combining both incentive posts and news posts into one these days. Yes, new incentive, and you should probably be able to tell what this is (instead of the random confusing foot sketch from last time)!

A few things: ONE: I received my own set of bookmarks from Zazzle and was disappointed as they didn’t line up as I had painstakingly arranged them to do. I wrote Zazzle a letter on the subject, and don’t actually expect to get much of a response, but as a result (and also as a result of certain Lulu situations) have decided to take a more proactive role in making sure my Lint products are of acceptable quality at a decent price. SO, if you ordered the bookmarks and they came to you not-lined-up, send me your order number and address and I’ll be glad to send you a well-made set of bookmarks complete with sleeves and matching Fang/Sang tassels. (green/red, naturally)

SECOND: I have mentioned I’m getting a little tired of Lulu price-gouging everyone (including myself) and have found a way to produce Lint books at similar quality for about 40% less if I get at least 10 preorders per issue. This is just in the beginning stages of consideration, but I’d like to know if there’s some interest here in getting full-color Lint for a great price. (and much less shipping as I’d be handling myself and am not in the business of gouging people for a few extra bucks). With these issues I would also like to add such extras as commentary and un-website-published extra comics.

THIRD: The Illusionist’s Apprentice is finished! “But you haven’t written any more,” you whimper. Well, I realized I’m done with it when I got my new laptop cord and started writing. Why am I done with it? Because I need these characters to stay in suspended animation (not develop any more) until something vague and unstated that may happen in the future happens. Right, I’m putting them in suspended animation; cryogenetically freezing them, if you will. I’m not done with Henry and Teitnl, though, not by a longshot!

FOURTH: Speaking of them boys, Lady Nilstria has made the title page for Chapter One of her take on The Illusionist’s Apprentice, and here it is! What a lovely hag!

FIFTH: Thank you, come again!

This is a Vote Incentive Alert

There’s a vote incentive, but it’s kind of a spoiler, so if you don’t want to know what everyone is doing in the next page, don’t look at it!

Also, glad to see everyone is so supportive of Fang getting his kahunas pancaked. Check out this fan comic by Ping of what might have happened, had he not used his elven isshun-ryu to dodge the eye-poke:

pingfancomic

Awesomeness! And go read Ping’s comic now, cause Thorne just got wasted… on accident!

Oh yeah, also: bookmarks!

Preview Incentive

Well, I deliberated a bit over which sketch to throw out as a preview, and I wasn’t going to do one at all, but this one works alright I suppose. The first frame just reflects too horribly on Fang for me to let it stand alone. As is probably evident, I won’t be updating today, but fairly soon probably. These pages are getting just a litte extra from me right now.

Meanwhile, a few things of interest!

First is a lovely fanart of Sangwine by purenightshade. Aside from doing great fanarts, she also draws lots of comics! Read and enjoy.

Also, Lady Nilstria has been toying with the idea of illustrating The Illusionist’s Apprentice in comic format. Here’s her cover page. Lovely!

See you soon with #385 and thanks for reading!

Vote Incentive

Have yourself a vote incentive today! Also a colored fanart version of Fang-With-Harp by Lady Nilstria:

fangline_harp_color

Lovely yersh!

Last some frothy featherweight art by yours-truly of Fang and Zed. See you Tuesday I hope!

Vote Incentive is Not Up

… Cause you don’t get any spoilers. Another bad news item is that it would take a miracle for me to finish this puppy by tomorrow because I’m giving it a lot of extra love. I know some of you are a bit anxious, but if you can just indulge me a little, I’ve been looking forward to some of these parts of years, and really want to be able to spend some extra time on the art. No idea if that’ll make any difference in the final product, but I can’t make myself not put excessive amounts of detail/effort into this page. Please accept my apologies!!

Shot Heard Round the … er… World

gackOkay I made it before midnight… in Hawaii. Whew. Well, Ron came back from LA after having been gone for the whole week and, yanno how it is! Anyway, right, big event in yon comic. Gotta love that pistol. Seriously… elf + gun = best thing ever.

So you remember when Faticia was like, “You should totally make bookmarks out of that!” and I was like, “For sure!”? No? Well, that’s because that never happened. But there was a similar conversation a few comics back, and so I did make bookmarks out of that. Enjoy!

Next is a fanart by Cathering Fairchild of Al’bert: albert Thanks, Catherine! I miss drawing that rake.

Anyway, I can’t seem to think of anything else, so have a great weekend, everybody, and thanks for stopping by.
