I'm just going to call it and say, "You really need to write the story of Ellinya now." Everyone else is thinking it, I'm voicing for the masses.
  • BobbyJ
so how often do u update now?
  • On another note, I find it hilarious how the narration box just happens to block the King's face...
  • Mariel
Where's Camilla? Did Al'bert get her back? And why are you STILL hiding sang's father's face?
Whah, poor Xylic. At least he's got some family now, anyway...
  • I never put Camilla in the comic proper so it wouldn't make any sense to addend her onto the epilogue. People who have only read the comic and not the books would go "????"

  • spas
well, if that's the end of al'bert for this tale, then i see your point. but if we were going to get to see him relishing his regained titles/lands/etc then perhaps his family might be alluded to -- if they still live after possibly enduring humiliation at having lost them? oh please tell us in the podcast!? pretty please...

    I still haven't received my book order : (
Oh - maybe it is in the mailbox right now :D

Fourth panel might be from http://www.purnicellin.com/lint/2005/05/19/05192005/ ..?
  • Not getting your books is definitely something to take up with either Amazon or Lulu, depending on who you bought them from. I am powerless in the ordering/printing/shipping/delivering process. I hope you get your order soon!!
  • Phenoca
It was in my mailbox all-along :)
    Thanks for writing Fromage! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dnB7V3xG2k

My, what a well-placed speech bubble in panel 3...
  • Rachael
    lol totally
  • LuckyMrph
So SADDD!!!!! :'( The art on this page is so gooood!
  • Keybolt
How did Xylic's parents even meet?
  • That is a whole 'nuther story!
  • Keybolt
Is it one we might hear someday?
  • Maybe!
  • Rachael
    PLEASE!!!!! *big giant pleading eyes*
  • CC
The second panel is so lovely and tragic. It makes it even worse to think that she was later murdered by one of the very children she gave up her family to raise... :(
  • spas
oo, good point! i hadn't thought of how xylic might resent fang & even sang over this until now.
  • Rachael
    TRAGIC!!! OMG OMG THATS TERRIBLE!!!
  • Wendy
The tragedy of this moment is being horribly overshadowed by the triumph of "YESSS! I knew it!"

At least as far as the original recalling. I did not count on her losing track of time.
  • How beautifully tragic.

On another note, I like how you're gradually taking Sang and Bactine backwards through their journey...
  • HelenaHermione
I agree with that--notice how she's only using a few select moments here and there--she must have planned this all out really intricately beforehand, choosing the past moments that seemed most adequate or appropriate for summarizing Sang's and Bactine's relationship together. Yes, and it does seem really tragic that Ellinya couldn't have two families to love and raise...
  • Kenosaki
Oh, this is heartbreaking. I feel so bad for Ellinya and Xylic. Actually I kind of feel worse for Xylics' father, and I really love the second panel, but really it's sad.
  • spas
oh i so called it with ellinya's reason for leaving, but it was already obvious at this late point in the game. and that is tragic for xylic that he doesn't even remember ellinya (maybe those early childhood memories will come back now), but...he did gain a cousin and is not entirely without family now. in fact, he has as much family alive as does sangwine, so things have just gotten better in his life - much better, as xylic is no longer an outcast, but royalty, which i bet feels a bit awkward for him. i really want to see sang & xylic enjoying each other as cousins and what happens when al'bert's title & lands are restored and what happened with his sister - i'm not ready for it to be over! what will happen with sangwine, will he ever find love again?
  • Zypher
Awww, that's so sad... v.v Poor Xylic never getting to really know his mother, and more, his mother never knowing her son. I think that's the part that makes me sadder.
  • Hooray, new page!

Poor Ellinya. But I do like the redrawing of that one panel from http://www.purnicellin.com/lint/2007/09/21/09212007/
Your latest art is so pretty!
  • Cder
Ooh, thanks for the link! I thought that panel looked familiar, but I couldn't remember where from....
