Ah! Chapter end!
This next chapter is the last one, eek, so I’ll be taking an update off to get the script in order. I want to make sure I don’t leave any loose ends! Look for the chapter cover to go up on next Friday.
Meanwhile, Lint is in this TGT Webcomics vote-off, and Round 3 actually began this morning, and it gets harder to make it the further along it goes, BUT if you’d like to hear me discuss Lint on another podcast, then vote here (and you can vote every hour if you’re feeling especially vigilant).
Thanks for reading!

The fact that you are up against Jennie Breeden from The Devil's Panties and are doing a great job is a testament to your fans
Keep up the great work.

Somehow, there's still this nagging feeling in the back of my mind saying,
“She'll be back, in the next chapter, Bactine will come walking back through that door, smiling, and chastising Sang as she always does.”
That is one bittersweet feeling. I can't say that I like it. It makes me sad. T-T

i understand xylic's need to blame sangwine. it's not pretty, but there it is. sangwine's natural feeling of guilt assuages this tendency, plus it's not really sangwine's fault, so they'll end up friends i think. awful about bactine though – how will sang be happy again?

Beautiful ending, but sad as hell.

I dunno. It makes me sad…but really, if you think about it…it works better. She and he never would have worked out. I mean, sure, if you bring her back somehow, that's okay. But I'm not saying I hate this. I actually kind of like it. I'm tired of perfect endings.
August 8th, 2009 at 9:10 am
I don't get the feeling Xylic was blaming Sang. His words are melancholy and full of heart; but it's not pointed.
There's really nothing to be said, except to hold her hand and stroke her hair.

One chapter left? Like this page wasn't sad enough already
August 8th, 2009 at 8:45 pm
Please don't pull a cheesy stunt and bring her back next chapter…-crosses fingers-
That always, always happens! Even though I like her character, I don't want it to be that predictable. I actually don't see her as dead yet, as I'm totaly expecting her to come back, because they always do.

Let it be!!!??? NOOOOOOOO!!!!! *Wailing Fangirl Cry of Despair!!!!!!!*
She Can't Diiiieeee!!!!! TT. TT
August 9th, 2009 at 5:59 pm
yeah lol instead of nobody it's anybody and sang's just sitting there like this OoO
August 9th, 2009 at 6:00 pm
idk i think hell would be more scary than sad… but still, super super super sad….. *cries*
August 9th, 2009 at 6:01 pm
omg sang's face in the second panel rips my heart out….
August 9th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
The composition of the last panel is beautiful, with the discarded weapons at one end of the room and the two of them with Bactine at the other. It just works so well.
oh, and *sniff*. it really is a marvelous ending, even if you ended the story right here (not that I'm saying you should, but you could). Perfectly paced, moving from heartwrenching to sadly peaceful, the bittersweet acceptance is palpable.
August 9th, 2009 at 10:56 pm
Actually, something I'm sad about – which also often happens in many movies – is that whenever there is a love triangle, or some complicated relationships, the person just dies. This, to me, seems like the “easy way out” for the author who now doesn't have to sort out the relationships, trace the tangled emotions, and write scenes where the characters would actually have to make difficult decisions.
I absolutely love Lint, and I don't want to say anything bad about it…
I'm just saying that either way there will be people claiming that the outcome is cheesy.
*sigh* I really wanted to see a believable resolution emotion-wise though.
August 9th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
I totally agree… so heart breaking but he was not blaming he was saying she did this FOR YOU accept that gift and lets just grieve!
August 10th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
Yeah, normally I'm the first one to complain about dead characters coming back to life, but this time I was rooting for it because I've spent a long time anticipating how they were going to resolve this impossible love triangle, and now it just seems… anticlimactic, or something.
August 10th, 2009 at 6:30 pm
You can talk about cheesy this and cheesy that, or cliched endings, or what “always” happens, but the way I write is I just write what happens. It has to make sense, and it has to have a certain logic. There's a reason Bactine is dead and it isn't because of an old love triangle.
Still, I'm not finished. Digest the next chapter before you decide whether you like it or not.

Bawwww! So sad!
August 12th, 2009 at 10:06 am
Man…this is so sad… :'(
I did not expect her to die…
I want her to come back…
August 12th, 2009 at 10:34 am
xylic right arm arm looks odd or is that just me?
August 12th, 2009 at 11:08 am
I really hope Bactine doesn't die. I hate becoming emotionally invested in a character just to have them killed off. I don't care about realism so much as something that I started reading for fun doesn't depress me D:

I agree with Falco.
@Dani: Yes, the discarded weapons add effect.

Cliche is to some extent over-rated. Is it cliche that main characters tend to ‘win’ in most stories? Is it cliche that most named characters have odd things that occur in their lives? Or is it mearly a result of the fact that stories are written about interesting people who are beset with interesting things that happen in the course of their lives.
I’m also hopeful that Falco’s correct, since were given a hint back in O’l blue-hair’s second letter to our ‘New’ king.
