#415 – The other side of the story

Whew.

Thanks all for helping me reach and even surpass my fundraising goal! If you ever wanted to support or donate to Lint, I only accept donations once a year (unless my equipment explodes), so here’s your chance! The bookmarks ($10) and sketch ($30) incentives are still open until July 1st. Whatever extra I have left I’ll use for assorted art supplies and the other smaller Lint-related expenses that tend to pop up over the year.

Nearly everyone has requested that Zedwig be the subject of their donor sketch, and OH SNAP I have to draw Zedwig again a bunch of times. What torture! Oh woe is me! Please no one else pick him, please, and I mean that in a Brer-Rabbit-and-the-briar-patch kind of a way.

Thanks too for all the suggestions for the omake. Like I said, I’m going to attempt to use all of them, and it’s not too late to submit your idea (there’ve been some realllllly good ones :D ). Look for those to start on next Friday, with this coming Tuesday being my last regular comic page update until Tuesday, July 14th. Family road trip, whee-hah. Pray I’ll survive.

    Yay! Colby draws feet just like me. Haha. Take that Barrett. And when do we get to see Al'bert?!? I really like Fang- especially his hair- in the 6th panel. And this is the part where Fang insults Sangwine, does something sinister, and regains the upperhand. Great job Colby. Keep up the good work please. Tis very nice.

    Oooh, go Sangy! I LIKE what he said in that last panel. He's right. Fang was just a bit of a cry baby, wasn't he? Poor guy . . .

    Sang's pose in panel five is pretty awesome. I love his expression. I love panel six and panel seven. The lines are amazing, added with the coloring and the background. They just look so dynamic and cool–and emotional, too :( Poor Fangy! And Sangwine! WAAAAAH!!!

    He did a swipe across from the left, knocking Fang off-balance, then twisted this sword over and around to disarm him.

    As a critic, I usually see little to nothing in the details of drawings, as the perfect noob I am in the matter, but for some reason the swords movements in the fourth an fifth panels disturbed me.

    I wanted to comment still to express my gratitude. Sharing such talent is very nice of you. I am now a true fan of Lint, thank to Zedwig(mad preferably), to Stump, Hope, Xylic (the sockets), Al'bert, Ali’ce (yes Ali’ce) and even some figurant which each amazed me in a most unique way. It's a shame some has to die, but I'm sure that will be worth the awesome development.

    In fact, you made me want to learn and draw some fantasy stuff. Lint is the first webcomic that game me quality fun from the very first page to the 415th. I went to read about the Bactine and Al'bert blog too, and there as in Lint every line, I am awed at you talent with dialogue and characterization. You make it seems so easy… I feel inapt with a pen now. (If you ever wonder about the grammar & expressions here, sorry, I'm not familiar with English enough to help it yet)

    I was just so confused – and I do fencing – so I should have noticed!
    Fencing is fun, in fact. But we only use foil/epee/sabre/rapier, and the only time I've disarmed someone (quite by accident) was when I slipped my blade under his scoreboard-wire, which yanked-out the weapon to which it was attached!

    Edit: Disarming people is more fun when using robots… Like when you do a robot-duel, and accidentally disconnect the other robot's circuitry… It was fun to watch that happen, and even more fun to win a medal – because the other robot could no longer work.
