#412 – Some intervention with the fairies

Oh, good. Comicpress Manager created a new update which works with WP 2.8 and (insert other stuff you really don’t care about here but allows me to upload Lint correctly).

It’s all in color, I don’t really know why. I just felt like coloring everything.

Oh no, it’s that time of year again when I have to renew my hosting! Look for me to wax NPR here in a few days. I’d also love to raise enough to get my good tablet repaired.

Also: I’m loving getting to draw Xylic again. Man, I have missed him.

PS: Does anyone actually use those tag buttons near the top of the right sidebar, or are they okay to remove? I’ve never used them on any comic myself, and don’t necessarily want them there, but if they’re really useful I’ll leave them.

    *SIGH* I'm so glad Xylic is back ... I didn't realize how much I had missed him! Is it me, or has his hair gotten a leetle longer? Anyway ... he's wonderful. :-)

    yeah, but i feel his hair grew quite a bit since his last scene. still...i am so squealing over hope and xylic - yay! i know hope needs to rush to everyone's rescue, but i wish hope would steal a kiss before they go!

    Heh, and thye storyswitches to something a bit lighter. (I think it's all the pink >.>)
  • Oh yes, keep the tag/bookmark function (y'know I wish someone would redesign this to actually look like a bookmark because inexperienced webcomic readers probably aren't going to realise what they are for. I run my comic on comicpress too. Actually the latest wordpress updare broke my control panel for a bit, so I know what you're talking about up there).

    Now, the comic itself: YAY! Xylic! He is my favorate character and it's great to see him leaping to the rescue. The full colour looks beautiful.

    On the other hand... His bow looks unstrung (too straight). And there is a lack of bowstring.

    I hope Hope... Runs-off after Goose-boy (James?), and has to get rescued again :)

    Actually, the perspective distorts the curve making it appear more straight than it actually is. The bowstring isn't shown because of the angle(head on, bowstring behind the bow) in panel 5, and in panel 5, you're just at too great a distance to see the bowstring.

    I can understand not wearing a brace. The things are damnable uncomfortable.

    I used the tag when I was first reading through the comic... It's really helpful when you are trying to read through a long archive and can't remember what page you were on.

    Anyway, loving to see Xylic again. Maybe in part because he's about the only Elf, or part elf I've read/seen who utterly rocks a goatee.

    I totally think both should stay... though a note around the tags would make it easier to figure out what they were. Luckily I learned that on another comic before I read yours. Don't remember what comic, but I did...

    And the goatee is awesome. Rarely do I see a good character with one like Xylic's, and I personally love how he looks. I'm tempted to give a character of mine a goatee just because of Xylic's... though this character will have facial hair anyway... Anyway, just gushing about how utterly awesome this comic is again. I need to stop commenting at midnight.
