#410 – Last ditch effort

Zedwig got hit in the face.

A couple of things of note:

One, I removed the voting, although thanks for all the votes, you guys are awesome. I just came to a point where I didn’t forsee myself keeping up with it incentive-wise for now. I might stick it back up another time in the future.

Another thing is that my novels Fromage and Bactine Gallagher are now available for purchase on Amazon.com, in case, for whatever reason, you didn’t want to order them through Lulu. I think Amazon’s shipping costs less, but I’m not entirely sure.

    lol I was so used to Sangwine being in, like, every page that I'm feeling the loss. And what of Bactine?! IT'S KILLING ME.

    But and however this page is priceless. The backhand is possibly the best thing I've ever seen. EVER.

    His middle name must be "RUN!!!" XD It would fit so well with the password being "Gaarrgh!" earlier on the comic. ^_^
  • I'm guessing... either he doesn't know and has come to the end of stalling; he knows and swore not to reveal it; or it doesn't matter either way because of something off panel :D

    O_o Rereading the beginning. I actually remembered that, but filed under 'other misc comics what I don't remember details of, and certainly can't follow anymore or I'd remember more about what happened next'

  • Actually, I think it was before that. I'm not totally sure because it just dawned on me one day that I'd been subconsciously basing his looks and bearing on a painting of Schubert I'd always liked in college. So really it could have been earlier, or always. Who knows.

    It being so out-of-character is probably why he ever got to Zedwig. Good old mage was fast enough to stop Kelneth (RIP, loved you) so I'd expect him to be able to do the same with Derf - had he been thinking such a thing would ever happen.

    I really want to say that that's his middle name for real. Possibly complete with backslap, but on the other hand that might've made the birth announcements a little bit of a pain to handle.
