Oh god, Zedwig! Please don't be under Fang's control, please! *Is biting nails in rapt anticipation, transfixed by this comic and its PLOT and its ART! Beautiful, and the sally of Zedwig and the mages is as breathtaking as it is nerve-wracking (for plot reasons of course). Oh the angst! Please let this be Zedwig's moment to break free!

Actually the art in every one of these panels is really great. The human guard captain's chin has some fancy shading, and I love all of the expressions. The first two, and the third, and then the last panel, and just- all of them are beautiful. It's amazing how much your style has developed over the years, but even in the past few weeks it's like your art just keeps getting better with each page! Love love love this comic. I especially enjoy the subtlety of the facial expressions and the super-nice shading and coloring even on “unimportant” things- the human captain's helmet is one of those less noticeable things that turned out really looking great, as is his buckle. Poor Regnar! Poor Zedwig!!! (Is his control over the other mages magical or simply due to non-magical influence?)

OH GOD what an awsome page. Zedwig looks like he's practically oozing self confidence and power. He looks like he's about to gracefully – but thoroughly – crush a bug under his boot.

Before I read these comments, I was going to leave a comment complimenting you on your skillful coloring and use of perspective, Colby … I really really like Zedwig in the last panel. He makes a very swashbuckling outfit look austere – and I like the way you drew the cut of the fabric moving with his stride.
