#375 – Al’bert takes one for the team
  • Eliza
    OH WOW!
  • Crystal
i'd kill him too if he told... the only reason i would ever kiss him was so that he would be soooo woozy that he got stabbed while drooling over memories... lol jk, he's too hot for that!
  • Anony
    Ow, Al'bert!

You lose the moment you think yourself a loser.

I know, it's emotions and everything, but... Strategy!
Hide behind that arc behind you. The way the'y barging about the place, they probably
wouldn't be too careful coming out. You could get one or two of them using the element of surprise. The others would be crowded in the archway, so they wouldn't be able to attack all at once.

I know it's too late now, but you can still benefit from the latter.

Unless, of course, there's something I'm not seeing in this room that could help him - say, a chandelier he could drop. I don't think that blackboard would cut it though.

Oh, oh! He should've drawn something perplexing on the blackboard AND hidden in the archway!
That could also give a few minutes :)

Ok, I realize I'm not giving very constructive advice, since it's too late to do those things...
What else could be done now?

C'mon Al'bert! You can do it! Just don't give in to despair.
  • "You lose the moment you think yourself a loser."
I disagree! Whenever I am out of practice in multiplayer action-games, I do when I play to survive instead of playing to win (Fencing (with foil), Subspace, and SSBM). Playing to survive let's your beginner's luck last for a very long time; playing to beat the other player relies both on your skill and the other player's skill (so playing to survive increases your enemy's risk-factor). Just as importantly - Al'bert is fighting for time; not for victory. Thus his epic pose to make the guards hesitate is just as important than killing them (and I do hope that he is not a bloodthirsty fellow).
  • Wow, that does look like a blackboard. I was going for "framed tapestry", but your interpretation is funnier.
  • "whatever babe"
hee hee... whos is the guy now?
  • Jess
LOL ... that line cracked me up. Totally *not* elf-ish ... but so totally A'lbert!
  • Roc
    OOO, fencing coming up? :3
  • A Reader
I love the 3rd panel. It's just begging to be a poster for a Al'bert fangirl club.
  • Ilirien
I *love* this page. The way Al'bert goes from all "Whatever, babe," to being totally serious and heroic...*swoon*.

If I remember correctly, he's actually an incredibly good swordsman - wasn't Kelneth pretty impressed that Sangwine beat him? So, he should have no trouble beating a few clumsy human guards. Right?

    Seriously awesome page!
  • Remembrance
My favorite character is Xylic. Much as I love Bactine, I rather think he's too good for her. I'm cherishing a dream that he will end up with Hope, thus having children with a purer High Elf bloodline than any of them.
    Well, I can dream, can't I?
  • Kenosaki
Xylic is my favorite too, I wouldn't mind if he ended up with Hope, but it won't bother me if he doesn't
  • Chamella
Ooo, Albert is a hero par excellence!
  • Pondie
the last panel is epic, yes, but the build up to it is fantastic as well. you can tell be believes hes facing his death.
  • Mia
    Oh, Al'bert.

(My composure is a lie, I was squeeing for a full minute.
  • WeatherGal
I was squeeing in my mind since if I did it out loud there would be quite a few looks here at work. Dark haired elf are so cute.
  • Gotta love Al'bert! :) And that last panel is made of awesome.
  • Falco
If the next page is a scene change, that' will be cruel. (Which is why I expect it to be...)

    Gotta love that last panel.
  • Zypher
Of course it will be, now that you've said it.
  • I had a flash of Inigo Montoya with that last frame. That halloween Princess Bride special will be your bane, Colby. XD

Oh, I'm sure Al'bert will be fine. :3
  • Faticia
"Hallo. My name is Al'bert Du Fromage. You cut my hair. Prepare to die!"
  • XD Somebody should make that in an Al'bert banner using the last panel of this page. That would be the greatest thing EVARS. :3
  • Rachel
    *riotous laughter*
  • Eccentric
Same here on both counts :P. Al'bert always makes it through.
  • Rachel
I love Al'bert. Pretty sure I always have, so at least he'll get some good screen time if he has to die.
And may I say that the panel with the sword dragging gives me horrible shivers up my whole spine. Gah!
  • Pip
Ditto on the dragging sword... I can *hear* the sound it makes!
  • baretoedgirl
Mm, me too! :/ You'd think he'd be more careful with the one thing that gives him a chance for life against those guys!
  • Spike
Haha! Yay, Al'bert! I do so love him, he's hilarious.
  • Zypher
Oh my gosh, I LOVE that last panel. Al'bert looks so HAWT!!!

*twitch* I never thought I would say that. I always hate to see that about Legolas, and here I am drooling for some arrogant dark haired... bah. Pretty boy who looks better with short hair. And he so looks like he expects to die. v.v

Colby, if you kill Al'bert, I might do worse to you than Bactine was threatening to do to Al'bert. k? We want everyone we can have alive at the end, your characters are too awesome to die.
  • baretoedgirl
    *hate

    xD

We really need to be able to edit our comments. Or maybe we can and I just don't know how?
  • Unfortunately you can't, I don't think. But I can go in and delete the ones you didn't want :)
  • You can edit comments if you have an account; I edited a comment before because due my stupidity I spelled a name wrong.
  • baretoedgirl
You're right, I can edit them now! YAY, thank you! :)
  • baretoedgirl
Ok, I just want to say, I TOTALLY KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN when you say that you have it when people say that about Legolas! I always feel like that, but at the same time, I do love Al'bert... -drool- So sad. ^_^ And I also love that he expects to die. Hopeless bravery-- oh my god, so gets me.
  • Annalia
Haha, I have absolutely no hope for Al'bert. No matter what book or movie or comic I read, my favourite character always die. Yet I might just cry when it happens. Or throw something on the wall in frustration (did that with books, once, and I still feel bad about it!)

But, yeah. Gosh. Pretty Al'bert of Awesomness! :D
  • Psalm
I got a better idea. Kill everyone but Fang! :D

And Al'bert, he's soooo pretty in the last frame!
