A couple of things…

1) I’ve put up the rest of Fromage, because (drumroll!) NaNoWriMo starts in a few weeks and you totally know I’ll be writing a new novel for how can I resist. So Chapters 21-43 are now up for reading, and enjoy! Actually, I require all of you to read it, so you can get the full characterization of those crazy people who are in my comic, and they are kind of crazy yes.

2) Lint Volume 5 is coming!

3) Lulu is raising their prices! Augh!! So if you’ve ever wanted to buy Lint books now would be the time, because they’ll stay at these prices only until October 28th.

4) I’m abandoning the voting arena, although I’ve only had good experiences; It’s just a little more than I want to keep up with right now. Also, after I noticed a comic called “PronQuest” is #4 on the list I became pretty sure it’s something I don’t want to be associated with anymore. Regardless, thanks for all the votes, guys, you’re the best! I’ll keep this one up until I update the next page for the benefit of those who want to see the comic preview.

5) My tablet is due to arrive today!!!!!!! !!! !!! !! 1 !! 1 !!! :D D: !

i had to go check out pronquest to see what the fuss was about. outrageous, yes, but there have been other webcomics to flaunt sex and nudity. if some films are porn and snuff, should we not have disney and pixar films because they're still films? of course not. there is a lot of nasty stuff on the internet - best to pretend it doesn't exist and look at the stuff that does appeal to you - taking lint off buzz is perfectly understandable, though, if you'd rather not see lint next to pronquest on the rankings, which could happen! since earthsong and phoenix requiem are no longer competition on that site, you could have moved up that high pretty easily. tomgeeks is a bit more family friendly than buzz, but it's not the same thing. there is a need for a family friendly webcomic collective or voting site.

so stoked about fromage! not liking lulu super-much though - how do the print editions come out? pretty?

  • Yay! Fromage!

Also going carzy from lack of LINT! Nyah *twitch*

Well, this year I couldn't NaNoWriMo either. Damn you, Colby, for reminding me this crazyness existed a second year and tearing down what little reasons I had last year for not doing it. They must have been bad reasons too, because who can truly resist something so cool as NaNoWriMo? Saddeningly serious people, that's who! ;)

I'll also add my name to the lists of surprises for names... -- Annalia. :P

Re # 3... is it a big price rise?

    Also... "Pronquest"? Really?
  • I'm not really sure how much. They sent me a chart, but I found it incomprehensible. Don't worry, the price won't double, or anything extreme. They're raising prices to compensate for higher materials cost, and we all know that's the case these days; everything is more expensive this year. :(

Yes, "PronQuest". Makes me want to abandon the medium of webcomics altogether.

YAYYY NANOWRIMO! What's your "author" name? Mine is Bahnree, big surprise.
  • "colbycheese", also a big shocker.

Whee! I'm finally going to do NaNoWriMo this year too!

I used to do a lot of writing, but then I had kids, went back to school, etc. I don't have an excuse this year, so my writer friends have convinced me to join their circle of insanity. I even have a vaguely sketched out story idea to use. While cruising their website, I noticed they have a similar challenge for kids 12 and under, where they can set their own word count goal. I showed it to my 10 year old daughter, and now she's all geeked about doing it too.

November is going to be an interesting month in my household!
