    He has a dagger and what i believe is a rapier which he is just drawing from the sheath in the moment Al'ice attacks with her left hand. If you look at his right hand in the panel before that you can already see him reaching for the rapier while he blocks Al'ices right-hand-attack.

    And yepp, you call them daggers, not knives. [/smartassery]
